TheHeritageCentre,locatedintheTownHall,isstaffedbymembersofPershore HeritageandHistorySocietywhowillbepleasedtoofferanyhelptheycan,andwilltry toansweranyqueries.IfyouwouldbeinterestedinjoiningtheSociety,andthen becominginvolvedintheHeritageCentreasasteward,pleaseclickontheJoinUspage.Anumberofbooksonlocalhistoryareavailabletopurchase,includingcollectionsof photographs compiled by the late Marion Freeman, a past chairperson of the Society. TheHeritageCentrecontainsavariedcollectionofobjects,memorabilia,history,and socialhistorymostlyrelatedtoPershoreandsurroundingvillages.Associatedstudy materialsuchasdocuments,photographs,notes,andfamilyhistoriesareheldinover 100foldersinthesmallerroomandareavailableforvisitorstoconsult.Newfolderswere purchasedthankstoourHeritageLotteryFundedproject,WorldWarIintheVale.We wouldlikeresidents,newincomers,andvisitorstothinkofPershoreHeritageCentreasa useful local resource.The Heritage Centre is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12 to 3 pm.
